The earthworks of the Roman fort nearby, give an atmospheric whisper of the Iron Age history of the site. The ancient meadowlands have a charming mix of unique birdlife, wild flowers and dragonflies. The valley is magnificent when flooded, and enchanting when in bloom. The Timber Barn and House on the Brooks are a four minute walk away.
Footpaths leading from the house allow easy access to discoveringly wander through the delight of the Sussex landscape. Walk for ten minutes across the fields to the nearest pub. Have lunch beside the river.
With three wetland wildlife sanctuaries and two pubs, an easy walk away. A perfect escape to luxury, in a quiet corner of West Sussex, inside the South Downs National Park.
The house is only an hour from central London, Heathrow and half an hour from Gatwick, Goodwood, the beach and Brighton are an easy drive away.
